“These incredible gifts will not only bring joy but also comfort to members of the community who need it the most.

“We are immensely grateful that the home chose Tara’s Angels as their partner in spreading kindness and warmth this year.”

Tara’s Angels is a charity that was set up in memory of Tara Newbold, aged 29, who lost her life at her home in West Bridgford in 2016. The charity supports victims of domestic abuse and raises money as well as goods for women and children living in refuges across Nottinghamshire.

Resident Sheila Baker, aged 88, said: “I am thrilled that we can help in this way, we are very lucky here as we have the warmth of a lovely home and the support of family and friends around us.

“However, not everyone is as lucky, so I do hope some people can enjoy our gifts.”

Edwalton Manor Regional Community Relations Lead Matthew Brown said: “We are delighted that we can help support and showcase a charity that does such amazing work in the community.

“Christmas can be a very tough time for people, and we hope these gifts make a difference and bring some cheer.”
