The Becket School, a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, is celebrating the achievements of its Year 11 students following the publication of this year’s GCSE results.
Students have achieved some excellent results across a wide range of subjects, reflecting the hard work and commitment they have shown throughout their time at The Becket School. In particular, 77.4% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in English and Maths, and over half of all students achieved five grades at 9–5, including English and Maths.
Individually, students achieved some outstanding results, with Emma Ryan achieving seven Grade 9s, two Grade 8s, one Grade 7 and one Grade 5. Staff are incredibly proud of what all students have achieved and the way they have approached their studies, particularly during the important final years of their GCSE courses.
These results will now enable students to take their next steps, with many continuing their studies at the school’s Outstanding (Ofsted-rated) sixth form, while others are moving on to colleges and apprenticeships. We wish every student well as they begin the next stage of their journey.
