Looks like all of Nottinghamshire county could go into Tier 3 together.

When this could happen isn’t clear – the last agreement took three sets of talks over 5 days.

Even if an agreement is reached in today’s North Notts meeting (still ongoing), there has still been no Government announcement for any part of Nottinghamshire. So no-one knows exactly what the restrictions will be, when they will start, or where they will apply to.

The last official update from councils was this statement last night:

Joint statement from the Leaders of Rushcliffe Borough Council, Nottingham City Council, Broxtowe Borough Council and Gedling Broxtowe Council.

The statement reads:

“We appreciate that our communities and businesses are awaiting clarity and certainty about how the Tier 3 measures will impact on them. We await confirmation from government about their progress in drafting the necessary legislation for Nottingham, Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe.

At the earliest opportunity, we will publish details of the measures and package of support.”

However, since then it is understood that a surge in cases in North Notts has led to Ashfield, Mansfield, Bassetlaw and Newark & Sherwood being invited to talks too.
