Members of the travelling community have arrived at set up at Bridgford Park in West Bridgford.
Access has been gained via the double traffic gates on the entry road to Nursery Car Park ( M&S Food car park )
Nottinghamshire Police have a vehicle at the scene which arrived at around 9 pm.
The park is almost full of vans and vehicles – probably around 50 vehicles with more continuing to arrive.
A Rushcliffe Borough Council spokesperson said: “We are aware of an unauthorised encampment at Bridgford Park. Officers are working with Nottinghamshire Police and other partners to address this.”
