A stolen Range Rover was swiftly intercepted before two suspects were arrested.
The vehicle was stolen during a break-in at a house in Colwick in the early hours of Sunday morning (5 July).
The vehicle was tracked as it drove towards Clifton, where it was intercepted by officers from the Road Crime Team.
The driver then failed to stop, initiating a short pursuit before losing control of the vehicle and abandoning it in Maypole.
With the support of a police dog, two suspects were detained a short time later in the garden of a house in Greencroft.
Two boys, aged 16 and 15, were arrested on suspicion of robbery, burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving and theft.
Detective Inspector Jamie Moore, head of roads policing at Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“The Road Crime Team are specialists in this kind of advanced detection and interception of stolen vehicles.
“With the support of control room colleagues, they were able to locate this vehicle, pursue it and ensure whoever stole it did not get away with it.”
