Warning for vigilance after burglary in Lady Bay Road West Bridgford

The intruders searched the house, before leaving with jewellery and small electrical items.

Jewellery and electrical items were stolen in a burglary in West Bridgford.

Offenders gained access to the house in Lady Bay Road through the rear garden and smashed the glass in a rear patio door where there were keys left on the inside of the door at around 10.30pm on Thursday 6 July 2020.

The intruders searched the house, before leaving with jewellery and small electrical items.

Officers are now appealing for information that may help with the investigation and are urging residents to be vigilant.

Carren Tate, of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Burglary is an invasive crime and we work hard to catch those responsible.”

“You can also help us to prevent burglary with a few simple measures. We would like to stress to residents how important it is to review their security and ensure they remove keys from the inside locks on all doors and windows, close curtains or blinds and leave a light on when you go out, preferably on a timer. If you have a CCTV or alarm system check that they are working properly.

“Anyone with information regarding this should call 101, quoting incident number 23 of 6 August 2020.”
