West Bridgford gift shop to close down after eight years on the Avenue

Locally Produced For You will continue to trade online and offer their popular workshops.

The announcement comes after the premises in Central Avenue, also home to The Health Store was put on the market at a rent of over £40,000 per year.

The business said in a statement:

‘It is a sad day to tell you that we will be closing the doors to our gift shop after Christmas.

‘As many of you will be aware The Health Store will also not continue in their current premises in the New Year either as rising rents/costs have made it impossible to stay.

‘I have been so fortunate to be able to what I love for nearly eight years in this shop and thank you so much for all the support you have shown me and the amazing makers that I have stocked over this time.

‘I always wanted a space to not only sell beautiful things but to run creative workshops and we really have had a lot of fun along the way with our kids drop in crafts / parties and the many classes we have offered.

‘We still have lots of Christmas workshops you can book if you would like to join us, and if you are buying for Christmas I have over 50 makers works still for sale so do pop in and support all of these amazing small businesses.

‘For those of you who know me this is definitely not a goodbye post.

‘I have been supporting makers for over 10 years now and don’t intend to stop now.

‘I will be carrying on running our workshops from my home ( in West Bridgford ) next year with places already being booked which is wonderful.

‘Whilst I have looked for premises this doesn’t seem viable for me at the moment so I will continue selling all the lovely things I have online in 2023 so do sign up to our newsletter on our website to keep up to date.

‘Thanks again for everything and I hope to see you before I close the doors for good.
