Pictures: West Bridgford’s Proms in the Park the biggest ever

Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Proms in the Park event returned to Bridgford Park yesterday (Saturday) as part of Armed Forces Day and in the sunshine it attracted its biggest crowd yet!

Thousands of music fans enjoyed a full day of music and entertainment with West End success Mania The ABBA Tribute headlining the annual free event to rave reviews from eventgoers.

Event goers got into the spirit to celebrate Armed Forces Day scaled

They also welcomed a varied programme of musical talent from community performers to national artists entertaining the crowds including Nottingham Concert Band, Steven Turner self-taught Opera singer, The Hot Dog Brass Band, Carlton Male Voice Choir and Penny Lane String Quartet.

The Royal British Legion were well supported at the event scaled

The outdoor concert also gave people a chance to support local Armed Forces and representatives from the Nottingham Sea Cadets, Royal British Legion, with 209 Squadron ATC based in the Borough and HMS Sherwood.

Proms in the Park was partly funded by UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), part of UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda, providing funding for local investment.
