£4.6m boost for Nottingham communities through UK Shared Prosperity Fund extension

Nottingham City Council secures extended funding to empower communities, fuel businesses, and boost skills through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

The funding allocated to Nottingham by the East Midlands Counties Combined Authority (EMCCA) means the Council is set to invest an additional £4.6 million pounds into supporting local residents, communities and businesses – and we want to hear from you.

Grant applications are now open for local communities and businesses to apply to. The extended Government scheme will now run until 31 March 2026.

In Nottingham, the UKSPF programme focuses on six key themes:

  • Supporting the development of Nottingham’s communities (including employment support)
  • Improving Nottingham’s city centre and neighbourhoods
  • Supporting Nottingham’s visitor economy
  • Supporting inward investment in Nottingham
  • Supporting Nottingham’s businesses to grow
  • Developing Nottingham’s skills (including digital and green skills)

These themes are underpinned by wider ambitions to become carbon neutral and for Nottingham to remain a diverse and inclusive place for everyone.

“We’re delighted that Nottingham has secured an extension to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This significant investment will help us continue to invest in our people, our places, and our businesses – making sure that local communities benefit from new opportunities and support.

“We want to hear from organisations who can play a key role in driving inclusive growth and helping Nottingham move towards a greener, more prosperous future.”
