Cases in England

A confirmed case is someone who has tested positive for coronavirus.

Between 25 September 2022 and 1 October 2022, 50,317 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 21.8% compared to the previous 7 days.

Vaccinations in England

Vaccines are given in several doses.

45,275,970 people had been given a first dose by the end of 2 October 2022.

42,718,917 people had been given a second dose by the end of 2 October 2022.

33,613,297 people had been given a booster or third dose by the end of 2 October 2022.

Healthcare in England

Some people with coronavirus have to go into hospital.

Between 27 September 2022 and 3 October 2022, 7,904 went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows an increase of 33.3% compared to the previous 7 days.

Deaths in England
