Nottingham University Hospitals announced the news today.
Dr Keith Girling, Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals said: “Sadly we can confirm that one further patient has died having tested positive for COVID-19.
“Regrettably that means that 178 COVID-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.”
“The patient was 66 years old and died 24th of April.”
“The family has been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
