Pictures: Keyworkers’ children in West Bridgford make a rainbow from their hands!

The rainbow can be seen on the gates of St Edmund Campion school.

A lady called us and described the rainbow as ‘amazing’ – in fact, many local residents around the Tewkesbury Close area in West Bridgford have been brought together by the efforts of the pupils currently attending the school.

Headteacher Anita Blake told us:

‘It’s been a remarkable effort from the children to try to cheer up the neighbourhood. Of course, we are open for key workers’ children only, the rainbow is made from cut-outs of all the pupils’ hands.

‘It really took a long time to bring it all together. A special mention should go to member of staff Cathy Mannering for making it possible. We’ve had such positive comments from local parents and neighbours.’
