Detectives appeal for information following Co-op car park collision – woman seriously injured

Nottinghamshire Police Detectives have begun an investigation into how a woman was hospitalised after colliding with a lorry in a supermarket car park.

The incident happened shortly before 9.30am on Tuesday (13 October 2020) at the Co-Op in Farnborough Road, Clifton.

A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Detective Sergeant Adam Cooper, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are currently working to understand exactly what happened and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.

“Farnborough Road was closed between Southchurch Drive and Orford Avenue, whilst the Co-Op was also closed for a time yesterday.

“The woman remains in hospital. She is not in a life threatening condition, but is likely to have life altering injuries.

“If you have information or witnessed the incident please call 101 quoting incident 155 of 13 October.”
