Three men arrested after weapons drawn in Clifton street fight

All three remain in police custody.

Police rushed to an address in Clifton after concerned neighbours reported a group of people fighting in the street with weapons.

The incident occurred shortly after 10.20am yesterday (Tuesday) outside an address in Sedgewood Grove, where several windows were broken.

Officers arrived soon afterwards and stopped a car that had been damaged during the incident.

Two men, aged 36, and 25 were arrested on suspicion of weapons offences and remain in police custody.

A 27-year-old man was arrested later in the day on suspicion of criminal damage, affray, and threats to commit criminal damage

All three remain in police custody.

Detective Sergeant Chris Berryman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a frightening scene for neighbours to witness and we are working to understand exactly what happened in the minutes before our swift arrival on the scene.

“Anyone with information is asked to clal us on 101 quoting incident reference 194 of 20 October or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
