East Midlands Railway (EMR) is instructing customers at Bottesford station that they must use the new signposted walking route while improvement works take place next month.
The works, including car park resurfacing, re-lining of parking spaces, new lighting, CCTV, an expanded cycle shelter and updated signage, will take place over five weeks starting from Monday 18 May.
During the improvement works, the Platform 1 Car Park at Bottesford station will be closed for approximately five weeks, and customers should use the Platform 2 Car Park at the end of Palmer Avenue.

For safety, customers must use the designated walking route at all times. The level crossing should only be used where absolutely necessary, and those with reduced mobility should continue to follow existing arrangements, using the crossing telephone to contact the signaller before crossing.
The route is clearly signposted and takes around five minutes, meaning customers should allow extra time to park and catch their preferred service.
Philippa Cresswell, Customer Experience Director at East Midlands Railway, said: “While these important improvement works are taking place at Bottesford station, all customers must follow the clearly signposted walking route between Platform 2 Car Park and the station.
“These upgrades will deliver a better, safer and more welcoming station environment for everyone, with improved parking, lighting, CCTV and cycle facilities. We’d like to thank customers for their patience and cooperation during the works.”
