Police have issued a dispersal order covering West Bridgford town centre, Bridgford Park and other areas to tackle antisocial behaviour over Halloween.
The order will run from 3pm on Saturday 31 October until 3am on Sunday 1 November.
Police said the restrictions follow information suggesting gatherings of young people are planned over the weekend, as well as incidents of antisocial behaviour in recent weeks.
The force said the order may be re-imposed at any time.
Sergeant Che Sands, of the Rushcliffe neighbourhood policing team, said: “We know the vast majority of young people will celebrate Halloween in the right way.
“This dispersal order will allow us to target any groups who are perceived as causing or likely to cause nuisance.”
He added: “We have seen how successful these orders can be in preventing antisocial behaviour when they have been put in place previously.”
