The A52 in Nottinghamshire is closed both ways between the A6011 (Gamston) and the A46 (Saxondale) due to a lorry which has struck an overbridge.
National Highways – 2 pm – Traffic has now been STOPPED on the A52 eastbound in Nottinghamshire between the A6011 (Gamston) and the A46 near Bingham.
This is to allow recovery to take place for this incident.
There are very long delays on approach so please allow extra journey time.
Emergency services including Nottinghamshire Police are in attendance.
National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene assisting with traffic management.
A complex and lengthy recovery operation is likely to be ongoing into the afternoon.

Diversion Details
Traffic is being diverted via the following route:
• Exit the A52 Gamston Island and take the exit onto the A6011 towards Nottingham.
• Follow the A6011 for approx. 2.8km and at the signalised junction just past Lady Bay Bridge, turn right onto Meadow Lane.
• At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto the A612 and follow for approx. 11.5km until the roundabout in the village of Lowdham.
• Take the last exit onto the A6097 and continue until the roundabout with the A46.
• Take the A46 southbound to rejoin the eastbound A52 at Saxondale Island.
