A606 Melton Road 7-day closure planned for surface dressing works

A section of the A606 Melton Road through West Bridgford and Edwalton will close for up to seven days while surface dressing work is carried out.

Via East Midlands said the closure will affect Melton Road between its junctions with Burleigh Road and Blackbird Crescent.

The restrictions are scheduled to run from Tuesday 18 August until Monday 24 August 2026.

The road will be closed between 7am and 7pm each day. A temporary parking restriction will also apply on both sides of the affected stretch throughout the works.

The closure is required to allow crews to apply surface dressing to the carriageway.

A signed diversion will take motorists along the A606, A52 and A60, and vice versa.

Via East Midlands said the Melton Road closure will not be in place at the same time as the separate closure planned for the A60 Loughborough Road in West Bridgford.

Drivers are advised to allow additional time for their journeys while the restrictions are operating.
