Bus passengers across Nottingham and Rushcliffe are being advised to plan ahead next week, with a series of roadworks and closures affecting services across the network.
Roadworks on Beeston Road mean the Greenfield Street stop towards the city is closed, with passengers directed to nearby alternatives within University Park or further along Beeston Road.
In Basford, emergency works on Alpine Street have led to diversions for services in both directions, with buses avoiding Percy Street, Alpine Street and Church Street and instead running via Nottingham Road, Vernon Road and David Lane.
Additional disruption is in place in Beeston due to works on Broadgate, where a temporary stop has been installed near Salthouse Lane, while gas works on Alford Road have resulted in the closure of stops at Leahurst Road in both directions.
Longer-term works continue to affect services in the west of the city, with Westleigh Road closed until early May. Buses are diverting via Strelley and surrounding roads, with all stops on diversion routes being served.
Passengers travelling through Bingham are also being warned of ongoing delays on the 90 service due to roadworks on Chapel Lane, alongside continued disruption linked to gas works on the A52 between Radcliffe and Gamston.
Further delays are expected on Thane Road, where stops at Bull Close Road are closed, and around the QMC and University area, where ongoing A52 works mean some services are not serving the University East Entrance stop.
Traffic management measures also remain in place on Derby Road between the QMC and Priory roundabouts, with one-way traffic in operation as part of long-term reconstruction works. This continues to cause delays and diversions on a number of city services.
Passengers are being advised to allow extra time for journeys, particularly during peak periods and overnight closures, and to check for the latest updates before travelling.
