There are 111% more people in our hospitals than we did at the peak of the first wave in April.

In the week from 4-10th February there were 61 deaths in our hospitals.

Vaccinations

Latest data shows that in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire we have administered 179,020 vaccinations to date (8th Dec – 7th Feb). Last week alone we delivered 50,646 vaccines.

A breakdown of the figures shows 95% of our care home residents have received the vaccine, 89.5% of people aged 80+, 93.3% of people aged 75-79, 66.8% of people aged 70-74.

In Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, we have 3 Hospital Hubs, 7 Local Vaccination Services and a large Vaccination Centre in Mansfield as well as a “roving team” of staff offering vaccinations to care homes residents and housebound people.

Dr Andy Haynes, Executive Lead, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System, said: “Latest data shows that in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire we have administered 179,020 vaccinations to date, with 50,646 done in the last week alone.

“This week we opened up the vaccination programme to over 65s. This means that if you are over 65 you can book an appointment regardless of whether or not you have received a letter. Please do urge friends and family to book in for their vaccination if they are eligible, it is the best protection against the virus.

“You do not need to wait for your letter to book your Covid-19 vaccination appointment. Book via the local booking site or call 0115 883 4640 between 9am – 5pm. Or call 119 to book an appointment at the Mansfield Vaccination Centre.

“It is fantastic to see the numbers of those vaccinated increase at such an encouraging rate and I would like to thank all those NHS staff, volunteers and those who have been seconded and retrained for all your efforts.”
