Electric vehicle charging points are set to be installed at two West Bridgford car parks from Monday 13 July.
Rushcliffe Borough Council said the new chargers will be installed at Bridgford Road and Nursery ( M&S Food ) car parks to help meet demand for EV charging in the borough.
The scheme has been designed to provide medium to rapid charging for visitors to the town centre, with the new charging points expected to be available later this summer.
Both car parks will remain open while the work takes place, although partial closures will be in place from 13 July during the installation.

The works are expected to last around two weeks, with contractors working to keep disruption to a minimum.
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Environment and Safety, Cllr Rob Inglis, said: “We’re pleased to introduce further EV charging points at our car parks helping to accommodate motorists as the demand for electric vehicles rises.

“This builds on further sites we’ve introduced EV charging points in recent years at sites including Rushcliffe Country Park, Rushcliffe Arena, Gamston Community Hall, Gresham Sports Park and Bunny Lane and Church Drive in Keyworth.
“This is an integral part of our Carbon Clever journey to become net zero in our own operations by 2030, by making our Council owned car parks greener to support wider carbon reduction action across the borough. It also aligns with the Government’s target to achieve a net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
“Thank you for your patience whilst these works take place at Bridgford Road and Nursery Road car parks. We are working with contractors to ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum and there will be a traffic control officer onsite throughout the installation.”
The council said the installation forms part of its wider work to support greener transport options across Rushcliffe.
