The incident happened on Wednesday 3 June.
A spokesperson said:
‘Absolutely unbelievable!!!!
‘The amount of drivers on the opposite carriageway filming with their phones as they drove past was crazy.
‘This is not okay and could cause an accident and at worst death. If caught you will receive fines and points on your license or possibly a jail sentence.

‘Please please please, put your phone away whilst driving. It’s just not worth the risk.
‘This lorry fire on the A42 was attended with a pump from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Ashby Station and the water carrier from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Loughborough Station
