Ruddington: Flawforth Lane A60 works to continue over Bank Holiday Weekend

Traffic control will favour the A60 traffic where possible.

The works promoter has requested an extension to traffic controls.

The multi-way signals that have been in operation since 9 August will continue until Monday 30 August.

The works were supposed to be completed by Friday 27 August 2021.

A spokesperson for Via East Midlands said:

‘Please accept our apologies, but an extension to the duration has been requested by the Works Promoter.

‘This has been granted until Monday for the works in this junction to be completed, as there will little benefit to the road user to cause yet more disruption on a future occasion, if there is an opportunity to complete the sewer works now.

‘The expectation is that these Signals are to be manually controlled from 0700-1900, to aid the tidal flow of traffic, and phase the Temporary Signals to favour the A60 if practicable.

‘We apologise for the impact that these works are having, but we are trying to time works such as these to have the least impact, balanced against enabling the works to take place.’
