Image released after woman ‘followed and harassed’ in Nottingham

Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to trace after a woman was followed and harassed on her way home.
The incident happened on Sunday 15 October in Southey Street in Hyson Green, Nottingham at around 8.53am.

The 25-year-old victim was making her way home from the shops when she was followed by a man who caused her alarm and distress.

He made inappropriate and threatening advances.

Police have released CCTV images of a man which could help police with their investigation and are calling on the public’s help to identify him.

PC Chris Cutts, who is investigating the incident, said:

“This caused the victim a lot of anxiety and distress and was completely inappropriate behaviour.

“Addressing violence against women and girls (VAWG), which includes abuse and stalking, is a force priority and that is why we are taking this report extremely seriously and working hard to identify the person involved.

“We are committed as a force to ensure women and girls feel safe within our city and county. We have released two images of a man that could help us further our investigation.
“Do you know the man in the picture? Are you the man in the picture? Please get in touch as soon as possible.”
