Police say a male was ‘nearly hit by a train’ after climbing the barrier.
British Transport Police said on Friday 20 November:
‘We have attended reports of a near miss in Old Basford.
‘A male has climbed over the level crossing barrier, and was nearly struck by a train.
‘This is not only stupid but is also very dangerous and could have had fatal consequences.
