Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:
‘We have been dealing with a large fire at a waste collection site in Bulwell Lane, Old Basford, since 1am this morning.’
Please avoid the area whilst we deal with the incident.
Nottinghamshire Police said:
‘We are assisting Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service at a large fire at a waste collection site in Bulwell Lane, Old Basford.
‘Road closures are in place along Vernon Road, Arnold Road and Bulwell Lane. Disruption is expected for a number of hours.
‘Please avoid the area whilst the incident is dealt with.’
AA Roadwatch reports:
‘Road closed due to building fire at a waste collection site on B682 Vernon Road both ways from B6004 David Lane to Gordon Street.’
