Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) have invested into improving facilities at Little Green café in Bridgford Park.
The building, located within the park in West Bridgford, has been home to local businesses since 2011 and will further support the business and its operations with the construction of new toilets for staff members.
Little Green has been operating since 2023 having taken over from friends who had success with Al Fresco at the same location.
Residents are advised that despite ongoing building works, both the café and public toilets remain open for use and access.
The work builds on the Council’s investment into Bridgford Park last year, which saw both Bridgford Park Play Area and the Teen Park Play Area renovated as part of over £1 million of investment into parks and open spaces across the Borough since 2021.
It is the latest investment at the park ahead of annual popular events taking place at Bridgford Park this year such as Proms in the Park in June and Lark in the Park in August that attract thousands of visitors.

Cllr Abby Brennan said: “We’re pleased to be able to keep supporting the growth and development of our wonderful parks and open spaces with this investment into Little Green café in Bridgford Park.
“We have continued to improve and upgrade the premises. It acts as another step in our ongoing efforts to ensure we are providing the highest quality open spaces for local businesses and residents.
“We always want to help people enjoy our amazing parks and encourage them to get out and about as the warmer weather begins to arrive by providing great places to meet friends and have fun.”
