Live updates: A52 closed both ways at A46 – serious collision

The A52 is expected to be closed for some time after a serious collision.

The A52 in Lincolnshire is closed in both directions between the A46 (Saxondale) and A1 (Grantham) due to a serious collision.

Emergency services including Lincolnshire Police are on scene. National Highways have deployed resources to assist with traffic management. Due to the nature of the incident, the road is expected to remain closed for some time.

Diversion Routes

Road users travelling eastbound are advised to follow the below diversion:

At the A52 Saxondale roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A46 northbound.

Follow the A46 northbound until the roundabout with the A1 southbound at Newark on Trent and take the 3rd exit onto the A1 southbound.

Continue on the A1 southbound back to the A52 junction at Barrowby and rejoin the A52 eastbound to continue your journey.

Road users travelling westbound are advised to follow the below diversion:

At the A52 junction with the A1 take the northbound entry slip road onto the A1 northbound.

Follow the A1 northbound to the exit slip road with the A46 southbound at Newark on Trent and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A46 southbound.

Continue on the A46 southbound back to the roundabout with the A52 at Saxondale and take the 4th exit onto the A52 westbound to continue your journey.
