A 22-year-old man has been arrested after Nottinghamshire Police received a report that a minor was believed to have been in a sexual relationship with a man.
Officers received the call at around 1.30pm yesterday (Saturday 3 October), they attended the Travelodge in Maid Marion Way and arrested a man at the scene.
Detective Sergeant Lloyd Goucher said: “Child sexual offences are incredibly concerning to us and we take them really seriously.
“We welcome information from the public on any matter in relation to these despicable crimes and will always investigate robustly.
“We encourage parents and guardians to know what their children are up to, especially when it comes to the online world, and keep an eye out for any concerning behaviour.”
The arrested man remains in custody while enquiries continue.
