A man has been charged after a woman was assaulted in Nottingham.
The victim sustained injuries to her face during an alleged incident at an apartment in Thurland Street, Nottingham city centre, on Wednesday 23 April.
It was further reported a mobile phone was damaged and stolen during the incident.
Anthony Lynes-Fletcher, 41, of Thurland Street, Nottingham, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and theft.
He was further charged with a second count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in relation to a separate incident involving the same woman in November 2023.
He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (24 April).
Detective Sergeant Parminder Ahluwalia said:
“Nottinghamshire Police treats all reports of this nature extremely seriously and our officers will always act swiftly to do whatever is needed to keep people safe.
“We have now charged a man in connection with this reported incident and criminal proceedings are underway.”
