A man remains in a critical condition at Queen’s Medical Centre after crashing his car yesterday after reportedly feeling ill at the wheel.
Officers were called to Chesterfield Road North in Mansfield at around 2.40pm following the report of a man crashing into a parked car before his vehicle then overturned.
Serious Collision Investigation Unit officers attended the scene and the road was closed during their enquiries. The road has since reopened.
Case Investigator Louise Melbourne of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our enquiries into this incident are well underway and we are working to establish the circumstances of the collision.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious or have any dashcam footage which can help with our enquiries.
“If you can help please call 101, quoting incident number 367 of 4 October 2020.”
