Q-Park has acquired the Stoney Street car park in Nottingham city centre as part of an expansion of its UK portfolio.
The parking operator took control of the site on August 8, 2026, after agreeing a long-term lease with its landlord.
The previous NCP operator had entered administration, creating a risk that the car park could close. Q-Park said the agreement would secure the facility’s long-term future and maintain parking provision for businesses, visitors and the local community.
The company plans to refurbish the vehicle parking areas and pedestrian routes, with improvements expected to focus on the site’s appearance, accessibility and functionality.
Modern parking equipment and digital services, including online pre-booking and access through the Q-Park app, could also be introduced. The operator said it may install electric vehicle charging points where appropriate.
Stoney Street is among 20 parking facilities acquired by Q-Park across the UK.
