Nottinghamshire Police neighbourhood officers arrested two suspects while shutting down a drugs den.
The Strelley Road property in Broxtowe was raided by police at around 9 a.m. on Thursday (2 November).
City West Operation Reacher officers carried out the warrant after receiving information suggesting the house had links to drug activity.
After making their way inside, the team searched the house, with support from the wider City West Neighbourhood Policing Team.
This led to quantities of Class A drugs, including suspected crack cocaine, being found in different places across the house.
Cash, multiple ‘burner-style’ phones and weighing scales were also discovered by the officers in attendance.
Following the raid, two suspects – a 40-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy – were both arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
PC Nathan Scott, of the City West Operation Reacher Team, said:
“A lot of work went into planning this warrant, which followed reports that this address was being used as a drug den.
“Thanks to this information, we were ultimately able to take action and seize quantities of suspected crack cocaine and other drugs, while arresting two suspected drug dealers in the process.
“This was a great result, which showed our commitment as a neighbourhood policing team to tackling drug activity in our communities.
“We know that nobody wants to see drug dealers operating in their area, so we’d ask anyone with any information about this to please get in touch with the police by calling us on 101.
“As this incident showed, we will act on information we receive around suspected drug activity, so would urge the public to always let us know if they have any concerns.”
