Nottingham Tamizh Thinnai proudly hosted the third edition of its flagship community sports event this month.
The Notts Bat-tle Cup 2025. The event brought together cricket enthusiasts of all ages for a thrilling indoor cricket tournament that celebrated athleticism, team spirit, and South Asian heritage.
Held in Nottingham, this year’s tournament welcomed six spirited teams:
Adengappa 8 Per (led by Surya),
GOAT (led by Praveen),
Derby Super Kings (led by Udhaya),
Notts Rockers (led by Balaji),
Tamizh Senai (led by Pratham), and

Each match showcased not just competitive cricket but also the shared values of integrity, teamwork, and respect that define this close-knit community.
In a tightly fought and exhilarating final, Notts Rockers emerged as the champions of Notts Bat-tle Cup 2025, edging past Derby Super Kings, who finished as runners-up. The final clash was a true reflection of the passion, skill, and sportsmanship that the tournament celebrates.

Derby Super Kings, who travelled all the way from Derby to participate.

The awards and medals were presented by:
Mr. Kirubakaran Ramatchandirane, YouTuber and founder of Duckkout, and

Their presence added extra significance to the celebrations, inspiring players and spectators alike.
With each edition growing stronger, Notts Bat-tle Cup is becoming more than just a competition. It’s a platform to inspire, connect, and energise the local Tamil and wider South Asian community through the universal language of sport.
As the final match was played and the last cheer echoed through the venue, the message was clear: play in the true spirit of sport, keep the community alive, and inspire one another – on and off the pitch.
