A cloudier and more unsettled day is expected on Friday 27 March, with outbreaks of rain developing through the morning and becoming more persistent into the afternoon. It will feel mild, but damp at times with a steady south-westerly breeze.
EARLY MORNING
A grey start with a chance of light rain from early on. Temperatures will be around 7°C at 6am, rising slowly through the morning. Winds will be from the south-west at around 9 to 10 mph, with a 40 to 50 per cent chance of rain increasing as the morning progresses.
MIDDAY
Cloud will remain thick with frequent showers or longer spells of rain developing. Temperatures will reach around 10°C to 11°C by midday. Winds will strengthen slightly from the south-west at around 11 to 13 mph. Rainfall chances increase to around 60 to 70 per cent.
AFTERNOON
A damp and overcast afternoon with periods of steady rain, particularly through early to mid-afternoon where the risk peaks near 80 to 90 per cent. Temperatures will top out around 12°C before easing slightly later. Winds remain from the south-west at around 12 to 13 mph.
EVENING
Conditions gradually turn drier through the evening with patchy cloud and a few lingering showers early on. Temperatures will fall from around 10°C to near 6°C by late evening. Winds will ease slightly, shifting west to west-north-west at around 8 to 10 mph, with rain chances dropping back to around 20 to 30 per cent.
