Detectives investigating a stabbing inside a Nottingham flat have placed a suspect before magistrates.
Police were called to a residential complex in Lower Parliament Street at 1.09pm on Thursday (27 August) where a woman, aged in her 20s, was found with stab wounds.
She was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not life-altering or life-threatening in nature.
Officers arrested a man nearby and recovered a knife.
Patrick Teruel, aged 31, of Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham, has been charged with wounding with intent.
He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (28 August).
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Attending officers worked quickly and efficiently to arrest a suspect and recover the knife believed to have been used.
“Further investigations by detectives have then led to this charge being secured and a man placed before the courts.
“Although the incident will understandably cause concern, this was an isolated and contained incident involving people who are known to each other.”
