Temperatures will hover around 13°C to 14°C during this period, though it will feel chillier, around 10°C to 11°C, due to strong winds from the south at 19-20 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph. Humidity will also remain high, between 87% and 89%, making it feel damp.

    Afternoon Clearing (13:00 – 16:00):

    The rain subsides by early afternoon, with only a 20% chance of precipitation at 13:00, dropping to just 10% by 15:00. Sunshine will start to break through, and temperatures will rise to a comfortable 16°C. It will feel a bit warmer, around 13°C, thanks to the afternoon sun. Winds will come from the southwest at 16-18 mph, though gusts will still be notable, reaching around 37-39 mph. Visibility improves to “Very Good” during this period, and humidity levels drop, enhancing comfort.

    As evening sets in, the weather will stabilise with clear skies and a low chance of rain (<5%). Temperatures will slowly decrease from 15°C at 17:00 to around 13°C by late evening, with a “feels like” temperature dropping to 10°C. Winds will continue to blow from the southwest at 17-18 mph, with gusts peaking around 43 mph by 21:00. Humidity will increase slightly during the evening, reaching 69% by 23:00, but visibility will remain “Excellent.”

    Wind and Gusts Throughout the Day:

    Winds will be a dominant feature, blowing steadily from the south to southwest at 16-18 mph all day. Wind gusts will be particularly strong in the morning, reaching up to 46 mph, and though they ease slightly in the afternoon, gusts will remain a factor into the evening, peaking again at 43 mph by nightfall.

Monday:

A bright day with plenty of sunny spells, though the occasional light shower may develop in the afternoon. It will feel breezy at times, especially across the Peak District. Maximum temperature 15°C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Sunny spells and outbreaks of showery rain on Tuesday. Perhaps some mist and fog at first on Wednesday and Thursday morning, followed by sunshine. Temperatures around average for October.
