EARLY MORNING
A cold start with plenty of cloud and occasional brighter spells. Temperatures around 2°C to 4°C early on, with a slight frost possible in places. Winds from the south-west at around 7 to 10 mph. Rain risk remains low at first, generally below 10%.
MIDDAY
Cloud thickening with outbreaks of rain arriving from late morning. Temperatures rising to around 7°C to 8°C by midday. Winds strengthening from the south-west at around 13 to 17 mph. Rain chances increase sharply to around 70 to 80%.
AFTERNOON
A wet and unsettled afternoon with periods of heavy rain, especially between early and mid-afternoon where the chance of rain peaks at 90% or higher. Temperatures reaching around 9°C to 10°C. Winds becoming stronger from the south-west at 17 to 19 mph, with gusts approaching 35 to 40 mph.
EVENING
Rain gradually becomes lighter and more patchy through the evening, with some clearer intervals developing later. Temperatures easing from around 11°C early evening to near 8°C by late evening. Winds remain breezy from the west to west-south-west at around 14 to 16 mph, with a continued moderate chance of showers.
