Police appeal after Nottingham pub burgled in early hours

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a pub in Nottingham city centre was burgled.

A brick was reportedly used by intruders to smash a window and get inside the Derby Road pub Mist Rolling Inn.

Several bottles of spirits were taken during the incident, which is believed to have happened around 4.30am on Tuesday (21 January).

Police have been conducting inquiries since the break-in, with the suspect described as a white man, with a beard, in his mid to late thirties.

Detective Constable Gav Harper, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“We’re in the process of gathering the information needed to investigate this break-in, which has understandably left the owners very upset.

“Our promise to them is that we will do all within our powers to track down whoever was responsible.

“We’ve received a description of someone we believe could be involved and are currently following this line of inquiry.

“As always, we’d appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened, or has any information, CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage that could assist us to come forward and share it with the police.

“This can be done by calling 101, quoting incident 193 of 21 January 2025, while it can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111.”
