The police dog and drone made the ideal crime-fighting duo when a man was seen on CCTV trying to break into a house in the early hours of this morning.
The incident was in Little Top Lane in Lound, Retford was greeted with a full-force response as soon as it was reported at around 1.10am today (Monday 3 May).
The police drone located a suspect in woodland who then ran to a car and drove off.
The vehicle was then located nearby by response crews and the police dog tracked to a location where a man was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.
Detective Sergeant Jamie Moore who is leading the investigation, said: “This incident saw a very quick approach by our response colleagues who were able to co-ordinate both the drone and the dog teams to the scene.
“It led to a man being arrested nearby who remains in custody while we carry out our investigation work.
“Burglaries are taken extremely seriously and Nottinghamshire Police will use all the resources available to track down offenders.”
