Prime Minister’s Coronavirus briefing: Avoid all unnecessary social contacts – don’t visit pubs, clubs and restaurants

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has delivered his first daily Coronavirus statement.

“Now is the time for everyone to stop non-essential contact with others and to stop all unnecessary travel,” Boris Johnson said.

– Anyone who has or lives with someone who has a cough or a temperature should stay at home for 14 days.
– People should start working from home where they possible can
– Avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues
– Only use the NHS when we really need to

In the near future possibly a few day’s time, pregnant women, the over-70s and vulnerable adults with chronic health issues will be advised to stay at home for 12 weeks.
