Rushcliffe roadworks update: Main road closures and temporary traffic controls from 13 July onwards

Drivers across Rushcliffe are being advised to allow additional time for journeys as a series of roadworks and traffic restrictions begins from Monday 13 July.

The works include temporary traffic lights, Stop/Go boards, lane closures and full road closures in locations including Keyworth, Cotgrave, Tollerton, Ruddington, West Bridgford, Radcliffe-on-Trent and Aslockton.

Monday 13 July

Keyworth

Rolling Stop/Go boards will be used across a number of roads in Keyworth from 09:00 to 15:00 each day between Monday 13 July and Friday 17 July.

The restrictions will affect the whole lengths of:

Beech Avenue
Rose Grove
Mount Pleasant
Fairway
Debdale Lane
Adams Hill
Brook View Drive
Selby Lane
Villa Road
Rose Hill
Manor Road
The Square
Park Avenue

The work is being carried out to refresh road markings and mastic. The roads will be clear outside the working hours.

Clipston

Rolling Stop/Go boards will be used on Cotgrave Road, between Main Road and Cotgrave Lane, on Monday 13 July.

The restriction will operate from 09:00 to 16:00 while survey work is carried out ahead of planned structural patching.

Wednesday 15 July

Tollerton

Two-way temporary traffic lights will be installed on Melton Road, between Lenton Avenue and Bentinck Avenue, outside number 33.

The signals will operate under manual control from 09:30 to 15:30 while Severn Trent Water replaces a damaged frame and cover.

Monday 20 July

Radcliffe-on-Trent

Traffic controls will be introduced along the whole lengths of Queens Road and Malkin Avenue from Monday 20 July until Wednesday 22 July.

Three-way signals will be used at junctions when required on Queens Road, with rolling two-way signals elsewhere. Stop/Go boards will be used on Malkin Avenue.

The restrictions will operate from 08:00 to 17:00 each day while carriageway resurfacing is completed.

Ruddington

Two-way temporary traffic lights and parking restrictions will be introduced on Easthorpe Street, between High Street and Cumberland Close, from 08:00 on Monday 20 July until 15:00 on Friday 24 July.

The traffic lights will remain in place around the clock, while waiting, loading and unloading will be prohibited on both sides of the road. The measures are required for drainage repairs.

Temporary two-way signals will also be used on Loughborough Road, between Ashworth Avenue and the A52 Nottingham Knight roundabout.

The lights will operate from 09:30 to 15:30 on Monday 20 July to allow BT cabling work to take place.

Sutton Bonington

Three-way temporary traffic lights will be installed at the junction of Melton Lane and Landcroft Lane from 08:00 to 18:00 on Monday 20 July.

The work involves accessing a manhole to repair or reline a drainpipe.

Two-way temporary lights will also be used on Rempstone Road, around 350 metres north of Park Lane, from Monday 20 July until Friday 24 July.

The signals will operate from 08:00 to 18:00 each day while Cadent Gas installs a new cathodic protection post.

Normanton-on-the-Wolds

Stop/Go boards will be used on Old Melton Road, approximately 60 metres south of Platt Lane, from 08:00 to 18:00 on Monday 20 July.

The restriction will provide a safe working area while cables are pulled over the carriageway.

Kinoulton

Three-way temporary traffic lights will be in operation 24 hours a day at the junction of Hall Lane and Owthorpe Lane.

The restriction will begin at 08:00 on Monday 20 July and remain in place until 23:59 on 23 July while new electricity connections are installed.

Tuesday 21 July

West Bridgford

The outside lanes of Loughborough Road will be closed in both directions between the A606 Melton Road junction and Millicent Road.

The lane closures will operate from 09:30 to 15:00 on Tuesday 21 July while bollards in the central reservation are replaced.

Monday 3 August

Widmerpool

Temporary road closures and restrictions on waiting, loading and unloading will be introduced for carriageway repairs.

Keyworth Road will be closed near its junction with Station Road from 08:00 to 16:00 on Monday 3 August.

The diversion will run through Widmerpool Lane, Selby Lane, Main Street in Keyworth, Wysall Lane, Keyworth Road, Main Street in Wysall, Widmerpool Road and Main Street in Widmerpool.

Willoughby Road will then be closed between Wysall Road and Field Lane from Tuesday 4 August until Thursday 6 August, between 08:00 and 16:00 each day.

Its diversion will use Widmerpool Lane, Main Street and Westhorpe in Willoughby-on-the-Wolds, Wysall Lane, Willoughby Lane, Widmerpool Road and Main Street in Widmerpool.

Aslockton

New Lane will be closed around the clock from Monday 3 August until Sunday 16 August.

The affected section runs from a point 250 metres south of Abbey Lane for a further 60 metres south.

Severn Trent Water will disconnect an old water main, with traffic diverted through Abbey Lane, Main Street and Dark Lane in Aslockton, Dark Lane and Old Grantham Road in Whatton, and the A52 Grantham Road.

Friday 7 August and Monday 10 August

Keyworth

Church Drive will be closed from its junction with Walton Drive for approximately 110 metres eastwards while new portable classrooms are lifted onto school grounds.

The closure will operate from 08:00 to 18:00 on Friday 7 August and again during the same hours on Monday 10 August. The road will remain open at all other times.

Traffic will be diverted through Walton Drive and Wolds Drive.
