Police arrested two men after discovering suspected Class A drugs being prepared for sale in a housing complex.
Officers were called to the multi-occupancy property in Lees Hill Street, Sneinton, Nottingham, at around 11 pm on Sunday (2 February) on unrelated matters.
After gaining access to the building, they spotted two people behaving suspiciously in the kitchen area of the property.
The response officers found a large rock of suspected cocaine, further wraps of suspected Class A drugs, deal bags, cash, and weighing scales within the kitchen.
They also discovered a sock containing snooker balls.
Two men, aged 19 and 51, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and possession of an offensive weapon.
Sergeant Nick Johnston, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“The response team officers who attended the address should be commended for their alertness.
“It has allowed us to seize these Class A drugs before they could be sold on the streets.
“We know seizures like this, coupled with the arrest of suspected dealers, can seriously disrupt this illegal trade.
“Taking action against drug dealing is a neighbourhood priority in Sneinton, as we know it is something that blights lives across the community.”
