An investigation is underway after a member of supermarket staff was assaulted.
The incident happened at Lidl, in Trowell Road, Wollaton, shortly before 8pm on 22 August, when the member of staff attempted to intervene in a suspected shop-lifting incident.
Having challenged a suspected thief and attempted to stop them from leaving the shopworker was pushed to the ribs.
The suspect then immediately fled the scene.
Officers are now appealing to the public to come forward if they recognise the woman pictured as they believe she may be able to help with their investigations.
PC Charlie Flatters, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Incidents of theft and violence will always be treated extremely seriously but thankfully the woman involved was not injured.
“No one should be assaulted while going about their working day and duties.
“We believe the woman in this image may be able to help us with our enquiries so would urge her or anyone who knows who she is to come forward.”
Anyone with any information or who recognises the person in the image is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 710 of 22 August 2022, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
