The bar remains open with measures in place.
Bierkellar Nottingham in Friar Lane announced:
‘Due to one member of staff being unwell and self-isolating, they subsequently tested positive for Covid-19.
‘As a precaution we contacted all staff who have been working in proximity over a prolonged period of time as described in the NHS guidelines; with advice to get tested, self-isolate and not to return to work until fit to do so with a negative test result.
‘We felt that with a reduced number of staff on Sunday evening, we would not be able to effectively run this event in the safe manner we normally produce on a daily basis.
‘Whilst closed on Sunday evening we used that time to conduct additional cleaning and sanitising regardless of our daily cleaning and on-going sanitising procedures being robust.’
‘We have opened as normal today and will continue to do so this week, holding private events in the evenings as planned.’
Several more members of staff have also tested positive for the virus.
