A council reports a break-in at a former department store.
A spokesperson for Mansfield District Council said:
‘We are aware of a recent break-in at the former Beales site in the town centre, where individuals filmed a video inside. This is highly dangerous and illegal.
‘We have reported it to Nottinghamshire Police and would ask anyone with any information contact them on 101, quoting incident number 25000056967.
‘Preliminary work is now underway at the site, and contractors will have an active presence there.
‘The building is not safe for unauthorised entry, and entering poses a serious risk to your safety.
‘We urge everyone to stay out of the premises for your own protection. Trespassing on the site is illegal, and we will continue to work closely with the police and our community safety team to keep the site safe and secure.’
