Three dead and one with life-threatening injuries after Tollerton crash

Three men have died following a road traffic collision.

Emergency services were called to Cotgrave Road, Tollerton, shortly after 11pm last night (Thursday 22 May).

The driver, a 23-year-old man, and two male passengers, aged 19 and 21, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men in another car, a passenger aged 20 and a driver aged 26, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. The 26-year-old has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Sergeant Mark Baker, of our Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Three men have tragically lost their lives following this incident and our thoughts are with their family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.

“The victim’s relatives have been informed and will be supported by specially trained officers.

“We will be carrying out a thorough investigation to determine what has happened. The road will remain closed while this investigation takes place.”
