Two men were arrested after police found a large amount of suspected Class A drugs in the boot of a car.
Officers from the City Knife Crime Team were on patrol in Waterside Way, Sneinton, on Sunday (14 May) when they spotted two men behaving suspiciously.
The suspects then left the scene in a car but were pulled over by officers in nearby Racecourse Road at around 2:45 pm.
After searching the vehicle officers found a large bag of suspected cocaine, as well as significant quantities of cannabis and a number of mobile phones.
Two men, aged 22 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.
Further searches of vehicles and properties are also taking place as part of the ongoing investigation.
Detective Inspector Ashley Xavier, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was another great piece of work by the knife crime team and once again shows how their proactive patrols are making a difference.
“We were able to seize substantial quantities of suspected drugs and arrest two suspects.
“It is always good news when we are able to take drugs off the streets.
“We will never tolerate criminals using our streets to push drugs to vulnerable people and spread misery for their own profits.
“Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting occurrence number 23000290075, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
