Two suspects have been questioned after officers executed a proactive warrant and seized drugs, cash and phones from a flat.
Police teams covering the Broxtowe borough showed their ongoing determination to ramp up the pressure on drug dealers causing misery in their communities after carrying out a coordinated raid at an address in Stapleford.
A bag containing a number of drugs was swiftly seized after cops forced entry into the flat in Middle Orchard Street.
A man and a woman, both aged 19, have been questioned on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug while inquiries continue following Friday’s enforcement (20 January 2023).
Sergeant Heather Harding, of the Beeston Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:
“Proactive warrants, such as this one, are just a part of our ongoing joint work to combat and disrupt the illegal supply of drugs and to protect people from the harm this sort of criminality causes.
“Cracking down on drug dealing remains a priority for our policing teams, and for the wider force, and I’d like to reassure the public that we will continue to keep up the pressure on drug dealers whose criminal activity is a blight on our communities and targets the most vulnerable.
“Information and intelligence from our communities is key to helping us to rid our streets of drugs and, as we have repeatedly shown, if people report their concerns to us then we will listen and take action.”
