West Bridgford police release image after metal theft

Police investigating the theft of scrap metal have released an image of a man they would like to speak with.

The incident took place at a car dealership in Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, on 7 April.

A van with the number plate YT64 VAL was spotted in the local area.

Scrap metal and electric cables were then taken from storage bins outside the address.

Officers have been reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out other local inquiries following the incident.

They are now in a position to release this image of an individual they believe could have important information about what happened.

Sergeant James Robinson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“We would ask anyone who recognises the person in this photo to please get in touch with us.

“We believe that they could have information that can assist us with our investigation, so we are very keen to speak to them.”
